The Anatomy of Spiritual Hunger: Pursuing God's Presence

Pastor James explores what it means to hunger and thirst after righteousness, tracing the theme of holy appetite through the lives of Moses, David, Peter, Paul, and ultimately Jesus. He shows how each of these figures' hunger matured over time — from Moses seeking encounter at the burning bush to longing simply to see God's glory, and from David's desire to dwell in God's presence to Paul's willingness to abandon his credentials for Christ. The message contrasts this godly hunger with the way sin misdirects human appetite, using the story of Adam and Eve and the pull of modern-day distraction and "filler" as examples of desires that never satisfy. He calls the congregation to redirect their appetites toward the kingdom, trusting that true fullness and intimacy are found only in pursuing God Himself rather than His blessings or miracles.

Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness: Living From the Spirit's Fullness

Pastor James challenges the congregation to move beyond a malnourished, flesh-driven spiritual life and instead hunger and thirst after God's righteousness so they can walk in the fullness Christ has made available to them. Drawing a parallel between physical and spiritual nutrition, he urges believers to stop settling for the "junk food" of worldly distractions and instead develop disciplined appetites for the Spirit, wisdom, and obedience. He points to biblical examples of audacious faith — Joshua commanding the sun to stand still, David facing Goliath — as pictures of the "greater works" believers are called to walk in through the mind of Christ. The message closes with a call to full surrender, humility, and a willingness to receive wise counsel rather than clinging to self-reliance, so that God's glory and kingdom can be revealed through His church.

Living as a Partaker of God's Divine Nature

Pastor Brandi confronts the hidden sin of jealousy and its destructive grip on the body of Christ, tracing how comparison, covetousness, and envy — whether over relationships, possessions, spirituality, or social media — root out love and stunt spiritual growth. She unpacks what it means to be a partaker of God's divine nature, calling believers to examine their own hearts rather than measure themselves against others. Drawing on the picture of Christ as a jealous, pursuing bridegroom, she challenges the church toward holiness, honesty, and deeper intimacy with God rather than compromise with the world. The message closes with a call to repentance, self-examination, and a return to simple, pure devotion to Christ as His bride prepares for His return.

Standing Firm on God's Faithfulness Through Every Trial

Pastor Brandi explores what it means to truly know the faithfulness of God, not just as a fact but as a lived, relational reality. Drawing on personal testimonies from church members — including a husband's frightening health scare, a 38-year marriage that nearly didn't survive, a dramatic encounter with the Holy Spirit, and a season of recklessness and jail — she illustrates how God shows up in the hardest, most impossible-looking circumstances. She walks through a series of scriptures on God's faithfulness, encouraging believers to know His promises so they can stand on them when trials come. The message closes with the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, showing that even in the fiercest fire, God is present with His people. Pastor Brandi challenges the congregation to become people who know God intimately rather than merely knowing about Him, so their lives reflect His unshakable faithfulness through every trial you may face.
